In November 2025, I will be taking part in the Lagos Fringe Festival, performing my solo show titled In a City, Near a Forest. This is an updated version of my earlier work, Near a Village, Near a Forest.

In this new iteration, the narrator has evolved into a character named Kemi, who weaves together her retelling of folktales with her personal journey toward becoming an ecologist.

In developing the piece, I have been exploring the dialogue between words and movement, discovering how this inquiry shapes the performance’s rhythm and meaning.
